KATHMANDU, April 25:  Main opposition CPN-UML has disrupted the House meeting saying that the government is trying to increase the number of local bodies against the provision of the constitution.

As soon as the House meeting began, UML lawmaker Ganga Lal Tuladhar accused the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development of dispatching a circulation to various districts to increase the number of local bodies arguing that it breaches the jurisdiction of the Local Level Restructuring Commission (LLRC).

UML leaders stood up from their seats after Tuladhar said that they would not allow the House run until they got answer from the concerned ministry.

Following the disruption of the House meeting, Speaker Onsari Gharti had adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes.
