UML Chairman Oli undergoes hernia surgery

KATHMANDU, April 13: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has undergone hernia surgery in Thailand.

Oli had a successful hernia operation at Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok on Wednesday, UML Office Secretary Krishna Gopal Shrestha told Republica Online.

“Oli underwent hernia surgery yesterday,” Shrestha said, adding, “He is now taking rest in Bangkok.”

Oli had flown to Bangkok for a regular checkup on Saturday.

Oli will return home on April 19.

Oli, who has undergone kidney transplantation, has been having follow-up treatment every six months.
