KATHMANDU, Feb 24: Chairperson of CPN UML and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli has vowed to devote his life to the country and people. He said it during a program organized to mark his  71st birthday on Wednesday.

Chairman Oli said the UML would emerge victorious again in the upcoming election. The web of machination would be ripped.

Chairperson Oli reminded that efforts were made to corner UML, but it is building public trust and recovering its strength. "UML has not yielded in, but only a front of it," he said, adding that he was not afraid to take risks. He began taking risks in life since he married Radhika Shakya, according to him.

On the occasion, Chairperson Oli, his father and spouse jointly released a book 'Samabet Dristi' written on his speeches and experience, and edited by Sanjay Khadka and Logsari Kunwar. He observed that the book would be useful to disperse the falsity spread against him.

At the program, former Nepali Ambassador to India Nilambar Acharya said that the country would witness an outlet from the present impasse once the NC and UML worked in unison. When these political parties differ much, the country faces difficulty, he reminded.

According to him, the parliamentary system was getting ruined. It is wrong to take to the streets against the proposal the government has tabled at parliament.
