KATHMANDU, Nov 22: CPN-UML candidate Prem Maharjan has been elected as a member of House of Representatives (HoR) from Lalitpur-2. He secured a total of 15,025 votes.
With this, UML has won one seat in the HoR.
Maharjan's nearest rival Dr Sudin Shakya of Hamro Nepali Party secured 8,886 votes. Similarly, Buddha Ratna Maharjan of Rastriya Swatantra Party got 8,666 votes.
The ruling alliance candidate Krishna Lal Maharjan of CPN (Unified Socialist) stood as the distant forth in the election.
