UML and Maoist Center win election in Dhorchaur and Darma Rural Municipalities respectively

DANG, May 16: CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have won the race for chief and deputy chief of Darma and Dhorchaur Rural Municipalities respectively.

Maoist Center candidate for chief of Darma Rural Municipality Nim Bahadur KC has defeated his closest rival common candidate of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML Ram Chandra KC.

Nim Bahadur KC garnered 3,694 votes, compared to 2,771 votes for his closest rival Ram Chandra KC.

Likewise, Maoist Center candidate for deputy chief of the same rural municipality Tika Sharma Wali secured 3,695 votes, compared to 2,619 votes for his closest rival UML candidate Dal Bahadur KC, resulting in his victory over  KC .

CPN-UML candidate for chief of Dhorchaur Rural Municipality Chitra Bahadur Chalaune has won the election by garnering 1,955 votes, compared to 1,538 votes secured by his closest rival Maoist Center candidate Nar Bahadur Chalaune.

Likewise, UML candidate for deputy chief of the same rural municipality Pushpa Bohara has won the election with   1946 votes, defeating her closest rival Bhumi Budhathoki representing Maoist Center who garnered 1599 votes.
