Speaking at an interaction program organized by the Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) here on Thursday, Koirala revealed the culprits have been more or less identified and would be made public very soon.
But he said that the investigation would be easier without any political or governmental intervention, implying political elements are obstructing the process. The police have arrested two from Tarai Ekata Parishad, the group that has owned up to the murder, as well as a Maoist cadre in connection with the case so far.
Neblal Paswan was nabbed at Lakkad, Dhanusha while firing at the police, and another Parishad activist Bimalesh Jha was arrested from Janakpur while trying to fax the group’s statement. Similarly, Maoist activist Shrawan Yadav was picked from Mirchaiya, Siraha on intelligence reports connecting him with the murder.
Likewise, superintendent of Dhanusha Police Yadav Raj Khanal has promised to nab the leader of the murder in the next couple of days.
