UAE beats Nepal by three wickets

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Nepal lost to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by three wickets in the first one day international cricket match today. 

Team UAE had chased the target of 114 runs presented by Nepal in the first tournament held between the two countries at the loss of seven wickets in 32.1-overs. 

Fayed Nawaz had made the highest 3o runs to steer the UAE to victory. 

Nepalese cricketers including Paras Khadka, Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets each while Sompal Kami had sent only one batsman to the pavilion. 

Nepal could not perform well with its bats today. Put into bat first after losing toss, the team Nepal had set a modest target of 114 runs at the UAE home ground. Nepal had only gathered 113 runs in 33.5 overs.
