U-16 football team off to South Korea

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Sports Science Academy of Nepal (SAN)'s U-16 boys' football team has left for Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday to take part in the youth educational program accepting the request from Korea Youth Football Skill Foundation. 

The 17-member football team comprises 13 players and four officials. Mandip Gurung (captain), Bardan Basnet, Ojesh Pokharel, Yash Magrati, Suyog Kunwar, Miraj Bajracharya, Kripal Giri, Ayush Neupane, Glorious Rai, Abhaash Maharathha, Abhushan Raj Shahi, Aryan Raj Bhandar and Abhaash Bista are the players of the team. Similarly,  Lokendra Acharya and Dipak Raj Shahi travelled as officials while Ananta Khanal and Gita Pun are the team manager and medical personnel respectively. 

During the South Korea stay, the Nepali team will play two friendly matches with a team of Korea Youth Football Skill Foundation. 

SAN and its Korean counterpart will also sign agreement papers over exchange of different programs. 

National Sports Council (NSC)'s Member Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista and SAN's Executive Director Prakash Pradhan bade farewell to the team at the NSC on Wednesday.

The team will return home on November 24.
