DHANGADHI, Oct 1: Two youths who had gone to take a bath in the Karnali river have gone missing after drowning in the river this afternoon. 

Those missing are 20-year-old Mukunda Neupane and 21-year-old Ramesh Neupane of Tikapur Municipality-9, the Chisapani Police Office has stated. They had gone to the river at Pitamari, Mohanyal rural municipality for a bath. 

It is said the two youths drowned after getting close to a whirlpool in the river reportedly to measure its depth. Police Inspector Dhana Bahadur Bohara said a search has been started for the missing youths. The place where the youths went missing is about two kilometres north from the Chisapani Bazaar.(RSS)
