BAITADI, Oct 28: Two women died in separate cliff fall-related incidents at Ganjari and Dashrathchand Municipality of Baitadi. They suffered the tragedy while cutting grass (to be used in roofing the house).
Rajmati Dhami, 37, of Kotila, Ganjari-4 fell from a cliff near to her home Thursday and died while cutting thatching grass.
Similarly, a 30-year-old woman of Sankatte of Dashrathchand Municipality-6 suffered the same fate earlier Wednesday, District Police Office Baitadi's Deputy Superintendent of Police Balnarsingh Rana said.
It is the compulsion for the Baitadi folks to go to a cliff to collect thatching grass, risking their lives. Cliff fall deaths are frequent in the district, it is said. RSS
