Two minors drowned in pond in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, April 1: Two minors have downed to death in the course of swimming in a pond on the bank of Bagmati River in Taudaha area in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The minors drowned to death have been identified as Krishna Magar, 8, and Prashant Sunuwar, 11, of Dakhinkali Muncipality-1 in Kathmandu. 

An Armed Police Force (APF) team trained for disaster response activities from Nilbarahi Battallion Number 28 had reached the incident shortly after it received the information that two minors were drowned in the pond. The team led by APF Inspector Janak Jung Bhandari had retrieved the dead bodies from the pond.
