Two killed in separate incidents in Chitwan

CHITWAN, July 23: One person was killed after being attacked by a tiger in west Chitwan.



Padam Bahadur Magar, 46, also known as Rampure Kanchha, was a forest guard at the proposed Diyalo Buffer Zone Community Forest, Gunjanagar under Chitwan National Park (CNP)’s Kalabanjar Consumer Committee.



Magar was found dead inside the forest by a search team comprising CNP staffers and officials of the forest consumer committee on Wednesday morning. He had been missing since Tuesday during his forest patrol.



A team of forest staffers and CNP representatives along with three elephants was sent in search of Magar.



His body has been brought to Bharatpur for postmortem.



Meanwhile, Kum Bahadur BK of Parvatipur VDC-6 in west Chitwan killed his uncle Suka Bahadur BK with a sharp weapon.



Kum Bahadur hacked Suka Bahadur to death during a family dispute in his home.



Police said Kum Bahadur has fled the village after the murder.
