RUKUM, Nov 20: Two persons were killed and three others were injured in a road accident at Rukumkot-9 in Rukum district this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Sapana Sunar, 16, of Morabang-3 and Lalbir BK of Salyan district.

The accident took place when a mini-truck, Ba 1 Kha 9691, heading towards Rukumkot from Kankri of Rukum fell into Rukumgad rivulet.

Similarly, Purnima Sunar of Morabang-3, Arjun BK, 20, of Salyan and Kamal BK of Rukum were injured in the accident that took place at 5:00 am. Of the injured, condition of two is critical.

The injured are receiving treatment at a health post, Rukumkot, said a local, Madan Shah. Police personnel from Area Police Office, Rukumkot, and locals had rescued the injured. Cause behind the accident is yet to be ascertained. RSS
