Two killed in Gulmi jeep accident

GULMI, Oct 16: Two people died when a jeep fell off the road in Chandakot Rural Municipality of Gulmi, on Monday.

The jeep slipped off the road and plunged some 300 meters into the Wajing River. The ill-fated jeep was en route to Chandakot from Kalepokhara of Baglung. The deceased have been identified as Bharat Bahadur Gurung, 49, and Lal Bahadur Gurung, 36, of Chandakot.

Just one day ago, on Sunday evening, a person was killed and four were injured when an auto-rickshaw met an accident in Naubahini Municipality, Pyuthan, according to Pyuthan Police Chief Nirmal Budathoki. The deceased has been identified as 69-year-old Taradevi Pun of Naubahini. Police have detained the driver Lal Bahadur Gurung.
