Two killed in bus-scooter accident

RATNANAGAR, Dec 8: Two people riding on a scooter were killed when they were hit by a passenger bus in Ratnanagar of Chitwan last night. 

The bus (Na.5 Kha. 3166) was heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj when it hit the scooter (Na. 40 Pa. 9910) heading towards the same direction, according to District Police Office Chitwan. In the accident that took place in front of the gas station in Tikauli at around 11:00 pm, Shanker Bhandari of around 26 years of age of Bharatpur metropolis-6 died. The identity of the second person is not yet known. 

The bus has been impounded while its driver has been taken into police custody for necessary action. RSS
