KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Two people have died in a jeep accident that took place on Saturday morning at Sigas Rural Municipality-1, Baitadi.
Police Inspector Balram Pandey at the District Police Office (DPO), Baitadi, informed Republica that the deceased have been identified as Jayanti Dhami, 14, and Parbati Dhami, 19, of Sigas Rural Municipality-1.

Both of them, who were seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital.
According to Inspector Pandey, the jeep (Supapra 01001 Cha 4028), carrying seven passengers and the driver, veered off the road and fell about 500 meters down a cliff and crashed at around 6 am on Saturday.
He added that Tulsi Dhami, 40, Nira Dhami, 16, Kamala Dhami, 18, and Bhagarathi Dhami, 14, all of Sigas, were also seriously injured in the accident. “They are undergoing treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital and are in a critical condition,” he said.
The DPO has identified the driver of the jeep as Jayanta Bohara, who is absconding. Police Inspector Pandey said that a search is underway for the driver.
