Two killed after being swept away by river

MAHOTTARI, Sept 4: Two persons including a ten-year-old died after being swept away by river at two different locations of Mahottari district on Saturday night. 

Manav Bulan, 10, son of Bimal Bulan of Bardibas – 10, was swept away by a flash flood while trying to wade across the Maraha River at 7 pm, said Superintendent of Police (SP), Janak Bhattarai, of District Police Office (DPO), Mahottari. 

Likewise, Pabitra Mahara, 50, of Pashupatinagar VDC – 6, was swept by a flash flood while heading home by crossing the Ratu River at 9 pm. 

The police recovered Bulan's dead body along the stretch of the river at Bardibas – 12 while Mahara's body was recovered at Sitapur Bhangaha – 3. 

The bodies of the deceased will be sent to District Hospital Jaleshwor for post-mortem examination, DPO, Mahottari said. RSS
