Two injured in rhino attack

RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), Nov 12: Two persons were injured when a rhino straying from nearby forest attacked them at Ratnanagar Municipality-17 in the district on Saturday.

A rhino appeared out of nowhere and attacked local resident Chitra Mahato, 52, and his three-year-old granddaughter Abina Chaudhary when Mahato was working at the job of fencing the locality at Sisbar with barbed wire, police said. Chaudhary was with Mahato when the incident occurred.

Both of the injured were referred to Bharatpur Hospital for further treatment while Chaudhary who lost her conscious due to the attack was yet to regain her conscious, police said. RSS
