Hari Krishna KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Dolpa District Police Office, said that the deceased was identified as Suraj Budha, a 10-year-old resident of Tripurasundari Municipality-4.

DSP KC said that the remaining two injured children were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment around 9 AM.

The incident occurred when the children were picking mushrooms in a community forest at Tripura Sundari Municipality-4 on Thursday. They were injured in the forest fire. Although preparations were made to airlift them to Kathmandu on the same day, logistical challenges delayed their transfer, and they were kept under observation at the district hospital.

It may be noted that three of the four Nepali Army personnel who were injured while trying to douse a fire in Masta Community Forest at Thuli Bheri Municipality-4 in Dolpa district on Tuesday have also died.
