BIRGUNJ, Nov 29: The Parsa police has arrested two Indian nationals on the charge of forging their citizenship.

Those arrested in this connection are Dinesh Kumar Sah and Arabinda Kumar Sarraf of Birgunj Metropolitan City-9. Police said that Sah had produced fake Nepali citizenship card at the District Administration Office, Parsa while applying for passport while Sarraf had produced forged citizenship to applying for citizenship for his son.

It is said that Sarraf has both Nepali and Indian citizenship papers with him and police have initiated an investigation into this. He had taken Nepali citizenship back in 2007.

Birgunj people have demanded a thorough investigation into the citizenships issued by the special mobile teams at that time suspecting that more than 50 per cent of the people who were issued with the Nepali citizenships are Indian citizens who took it by faking papers.
