KAILALI, Dec 22: The police have arrested two Indian nationals with half a kilogram of gold.
A team from the District Police Office, Kailali, arrested two Indian nationals with hidden gold near the Traffic Chowk in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-3. They were caught in a car with an Indian license plate.

According to Police Inspector Darshan Khadka from the District Police Office, Kailali, the car was being driven by Deepak Gupta, 44 from Paliakla Khiri, Uttar Pradesh, India. The police recovered two pieces of gold, weighing 549.200 grams, hidden in the jacket pocket inside the car, Inspector Khadka said.
Both arrested individuals are residents of Paliakla Khiri, Uttar Pradesh, India. One is Deepak Gupta, 44, and the other is Sumit Berma, 34.
During the check, the police confiscated a laptop, two mobile phones, Nepali currency amounting to 44,810, and Indian currency of 1,280 from the vehicle. The police have stated that they are conducting further investigation by keeping the arrested individuals at the District Police Office, Kailali.
