KATHMANDU, July 3: A team of Nepal Police has arrested two Indian nationals on the charge of defrauding people by operating an unregistered manpower (recruitment) agency.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Rabindra Rane, 24, of Asalfa, Barve Nagar, Mumbai, Maharashtra State, India, and Javed Masiha, 37, of Kolawa, Mumbai GPO. They were arrested by the police of Nawalparasi West.
Gyanendra Phuyal, superintendent of police (SP) said that the suspects had been engaged in fraud by opening the JD manpower agency and promising people to send them to Australia, Russia, and Italy without even registering their company.
The arrested suspects have opened their Manpower office at Ramgram Municipality-5. SP Phuyal said that those arrested have now been handed over to the Labor and Employment Office, Butwal for further legal action.
