Two held with 2 kg gold at Rasuwagadhi

RASUWAGADHI, June 21: Rusuwa police has arrested two people with two kilograms of illegal gold at Rasuwagadhi on Wednesday.

According to police, Dinesh Roka alias Rupesh of Pasikot Golden Chowk of Kathmandu and Krishna Bahadur Shrestha of Bahrabise Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchowk, currently staying at Laharepauwa of Rasuwa, were arrested.

They were intercepted while they were entering with the illegal gold from Nepal-China border Kerung to Rasuwagadhi.

They were transporting gold concealed in the false bottom made in the fuel tank of their motorcycle, according to DSP Fanindra Prasain.

The gold is priced at 9,302,500 in the local market.
