KHOTANG, July 29: Two teenage girls of Simapani Rural Municipality-8 of Khotang have been missing since the last 12 days. Thirteen-year-old Anita Shrestha and fifteen-year-old Sapana Tamang had reportedly gone to Kattike of the same rural municipality on July 16 after which they have become contactless.
Family members have notified the District Police Office, Gaighat about their absence but still they have received no news of them as of now.

Tamang was a fifth grader while Shrestha was a third grader at a local Panchayat Rajatjayanti Aadharbhut School. According to Sapana's sister, Sabita Tamang, the two have been missing after dinner on July 16.
“We have searched everywhere but they are nowhere to be found,”Sabita said, adding, “We haven't been able to find them even after all these days.”
It isn't still clear if the duo went out of contact as per their own wish or they were lured by someone else.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Lokdarshan Thapa of Khotang said that they have been unable to get any information regarding the whereabouts of the two missing girls.
