KATHMANDU, Oct 19: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two employees - an engineer and a plumber - of the Water Supply and Sanitation Division Office No 3, Ramechhap, along with bribe money of Rs 2,800,000.

Engineer Nawraj Satyal and Plumber Bakhat Bahadur Thapa were arrested on Wednesday afternoon at 12:45 with Rs 2,800,000  - a cheque worth Rs 1,200,000 and Rs 1,600,000 in cash.

Spokesperson for the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Shyam Prasad Bhandari informed Republica that two employees had taken money for the payment of the work of the Consumer Committee related to the Inchingaon Water Supply and Sanitation Division in Ramechhap.

The CIAA team arrested Engineer Satyal and Plumber Thapa from their residence connected to the office in Manthali Municipality 1.
