BAGLUNG, May 8:Two youths died of electric shock after the iron rod they were moving to bring down a young bird from the nest abruptly came in contact with the electric wire on Monday morning in Baglung.

The deceased have been identified as Dudhan Gharti of Nisikhola Rural Municipality in Baglung and Bam Bahadur Gharti of the same place.

The incident took place when they were trying to bring down a fledgling bird from the nest situated at the top of a tree with long iron rod.

In course of moving the iron rod to bring the fledgling bird down, the rod happened to touch the nearby electrical wire, which led to the death of the two rod carriers, Anil Kumar Khadka, Spokesperson at District Police Office, Baglung told Republica Online.
