Two die in bike collision

NAWALPARASI, Aug 20: Two persons died on the spot when motorcycles collided head-on in a jungle between Chormara and Arun River along the Narayanghat road section in Nawalparasi district on Friday evening.

According to Area Police Office (APO), Kawasoti, a motorcycle (Ba 12 Cha 3969) heading westward collided with another motorcycle (Na 15 Pa 6593) coming from the opposite direction.

“Both the motorcyclists died on the spot,” informed police inspector Shiva Sharma Acharya of the APO. According to him, the deceased have been identified as Deepak Chaudhary, 35, of Bardaghat Municipality-2 and Pancha Ram Kumal, 35, of the same area.

Their bodies have been kept at the Primary Health Post at Chormara for post mortem, according to police.

In another accident, 11 persons were injured when a bus (Lu 1 Kha 9244) collided with another bus (Lu 1 Cha 2280) coming from the same direction, on the same day along Chormara. Police said nine passengers from one bus and two from the other were injured.
 
Among the injured, two passengers who sustained serious injuries have been sent to Chitwan for treatment, according to Deputy Superintendent  of Police (DSP) Arjun Ranabhat of the District Police Office (DPO), Nawalparasi.
