Two die after being buried by mound of soil

JUMLA, Oct 2: Two people have died after being buried by a mound of soil in Humla district.

JUMLA, Oct 2: Two people have died after being buried by a mound of soil in Humla district.


According to the District Police Office, Humla, the deceased have been identified as Dhruba Shahi, 25, and  Mansura Shahi, 24, both residents of Ram, Tanjakot Rural Municipality-3.

Suresh Subedi, inspector at the District Police Office, Humla, said that they had gone to dig soil to decorate their home for Dashain on Wednesday at around 8 am. The site was about half an hour away from their house. Another local, Lal Bahadur Shahi, who went with them, sustained minor  injuries.


The injured Lal Bahadur is undergoing treatment at the local health post, while the bodies of both the deceased have been kept at the local health institution for post-mortems, Police Inspector Subedi added.
