All seven constitutional commissions remain ineffective
Saying the responsibility of the National Women’s Commission is related to women's rights, gender equality and women empowerment, President Paudel said the representation of women in the decision-making level is not satisfactory despite many efforts.
"The presence and contribution of women should be made more effective in other important areas of life. I am confident that the performance of the commission will be more effective in the coming days," he stressed.
President Paudel laid emphasis on the need of launching a social campaign to uplift the living standard of backward women in villages.
Similarly, receiving the report of the Madhesi Commission, President Paudel mentioned that there is linguistic and cultural diversity in Madhes like in the entire nation.
