Two buried to death in landslide in Sankhuwasabha

KIMATHANKA, June 1: Two people were buried to death in a landslide at Nundhaki of Chainpur Municipality-1 in Sankhuwasabha district Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Ram Kumar Rai, 35, of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City in Sunsari district and Him Bahadur Magar, 20, of Chaudandigadi Municipality-6 in Udayapur district, according to the Area Police Office in Chainpur. 

Police inspector Milan Basnet shared that the two were buried in a dry landslide while they were working for the construction of the Chainpur-Nundhaki road.

Both the laborers died on the spot. A police team has left for the incident site after they were informed about the incident.
