Two brothers found dead in a rented room in Dang

DANG, Nov 21: Two brothers have been found dead in Dang. Police reported that the siblings were found lifeless inside a room in Tulsipur-6, Gaider.

DANG, Nov 21: Two brothers have been found dead in Dang. Police reported that the siblings were found lifeless inside a room in Tulsipur-6, Gaider.


According to the Tulsipur Area Police Office, 33-year-old Purna Bahadur Basnet and his 30-year-old brother, Tek Bahadur Basnet, residents of Tulsipur-16, Dokrena, were found dead.

Nawa Chandra Malla, the police inspector at the Area Police Office in Tulsipur, stated that the brothers were found in the rented room of Tek Bahadur located in Gaider. 


The wife of the deceased Purna Bahadur arrived in Dang from Rolpa only during the night, and the police are currently investigating the incident.


Malla mentioned that there is a smell of poison inside the room where the brothers were found dead, leading to suspicions that both may have consumed poison. 


Relatives have informed the police that the brothers had attempted to consume poison earlier as well. The landlord attempted to contact the two brothers in the locked room after receiving no response. He found the lifeless bodies on the floor after he opened the window and peered inside the room.
