KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Police have arrested two people for shouting slogans in Tundikhel during Gaura festival celebrations.


Police arrested two people on the charge of shouting slogans while Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba were addressing the Gaura festival program held in Tundikhel on August 26.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Gopi Ram Jaisi of Surkhet and Ram Bahadur Budha of Achham district.


Nabraj Adhikari, Superintendent of Police (SP) of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said that an investigation is underway.
