Two arrested for holding man hostage to loot 25 grams of gold

KATHMANDU, April 30: Police have apprehended two individuals accused of holding a young man who recently returned from Qatar hostage in a hotel in Sinamangal.

KATHMANDU, April 30: Police have apprehended two individuals accused of holding a young man who recently returned from Qatar hostage in a hotel in Sinamangal.


The detained suspects, identified as Azim Ali and MD Sahni from Sarlahi, were taken into custody by a Valley Crime Investigation Office team on Tuesday afternoon for allegedly holding Sikendra Yadav of Saptari hostage.

According to Valley Crime Investigation Office sources, Yadav, who brought back 25 grams of gold from Qatar, was abducted by the two suspects with the intent of robbing him of the precious metal.


"We apprehended them in Sinamangal after tracking their whereabouts, with the help of one of the suspect's wives," stated a police source. "They had restrained Yadav in a room," the source added.
