Two aircrafts ready to evacuate Nepali nationals from China's Wuhan

KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that two aircrafts are ready for the evacuation of Nepali students from Wuhan city of China.

The minister made the remark during a program organized to discuss the possible impact on the Nepali tourism industry if coronavirus spread in the country.

According to Minister Bhattarai, Nepal students in China are not affected by coronavirus epidemic so far.

“In case of emergency, two airplanes of Nepal Airlines and Himalayan Airlines are standby to evacuate Nepali nationals from China. The government can rescue Nepali people anytime," he said.

190 Nepali students are studying in Wuhan City of China.

Minister Bhattarai also accused some powerful nations of hyping the coronavirus outbreak despite firm commitment and massive efforts from China to contain it.

He urged one and all to disseminate that Nepal is safe to travel during VNY 2020.
