MAHOTTARI, May 25: Three passengers are severely injured and another 22 sustained injuries after a passenger bus met in an accident at Bantolawa, Pipara rural municipality-3 of the district on Friday morning.
The over-speeding bus (Na 3 Kha 7525) en route to Jaleshwor from Janakpur lost control while trying to steer away from a diversion of an under construction culvert to turn sideways in the field, according to district police office.
29 passengers injured in bus accident
Those injured are undergoing treatment at Jaleshwor Hospital and Janakpur Zonal Hospital. The bus’s driver is at large following the incident.
Eye witnesses said that the bus skidded in a newly placed soil. Despite increasing accidents, the road is yet to be completed since two years. Last week, more than 15 people were injured on the same highway.
