MoHA Spokesperson Bal Krishna Panthi said that the notice has been circulated through all district administrations across the country.

The Election Commission's election directives make it binding for all licensed gun owners to deposit their firearms at the local administration so as to ensure that the polls are free, fair and impartial. MoHA officials said as many as 20,000 members of the public possess at least 34,315 guns.
