KATHMANDU, Oct 5: After a series of concerts all around the country including cities like Nepalgunj, Butwal, Narayangadh, Dharan and Pokhara, ‘Tuborg Stage Let’s Get Loud’ concert saw its closing at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu on Saturday.

The mega concert was a big hit, with more than 20,000 participants gathered to watch their favorite artists perform. The gates opened at 1 pm, and there were queues of people outside the stadium, desperate to get in. The weather also seemed to favor the excited crowd. [break]

The concert kick started at around 3 in the afternoon with the performances by Sabin Rai & Elektrix. Rai performed his evergreen hits like Ma sansar jitne and Gurasko fed muni while everyone from the audience sang along. Mukti & Revival came next with their songs like Keta keti, enthralling the audience even more.

When The Shadows showed up on the stage, more people came forward, banging their heads and singing along. Everyone seemed to enjoy the band’s numbers like Prakriti, Hidne manchhe ladcha and Saayad.

The performances of Abhaya and the Steam Injuns, and Robin and the New Revolution followed, making the audience even more excited.

Sharing about his experience with ‘Tuborg Stage Let’s Get Loud’ journey, Manoj Kumar KC, the guitarist of 1974 AD shared, “I had a great experience performing live in many cities all across Nepal. We got to share the stage with many artists and the fun time we had together is what we all will be cherishing the most.”

“The sound system is great and the artists are also awesome. It feels good to see so many people enjoying music together with so much energy,” shared Saurav Sharma, who had come to the concert with his friends. “I’m desperately waiting for 1974 AD to come on stage and perform,” he added.

However, to the disappointment of the audience, the concert had to come to a close when 1974 AD, and Nima Rumba and the Legend Band were yet to perform due to the security problems.

Nonetheless, the overall success of ‘Tuborg Stage Let’s Get Loud’ concert series has proved that Nepalis do love Nepali music and Nepali artists.
