KATHMANDU July 12: Gorkha Brewery has announced the launch of 'Tuborg Classic' -- a strong beer with Scotch Malts -- in Itahari. 

The production was launched by organizing a gala event at Hotel Itahari on Wednesday, Gorkha Brewery said, issuing a statement. The company further added that it first introduced Tuborg in Nepal and that it was the first international brand to be launched in the Nepali market. "Gorkha Brewery is highly optimistic and confident about keeping up the momentum to be innovative which is expected to be a growth driver in the market," added the statement.  
Speaking at the launching event, Arun Adhikary, managing director of the company, said that they have created a unique recipe in collaboration with their colleagues in the Carlsberg Group. "Tuborg Classic's tagline -- Stronger & Smoother -- offers a refreshing drinking experience to the beer connoisseurs with imported Scotch Malts for a stronger and smoother taste. Tuborg Classic contains imported Scotch Malts for a stronger and smoother taste," the statement added.

According to the company, Tuborg Classic with Scotch Malts has 6.5 percent alcohol content. A 650 ml bottle of Tuborg Classic is priced at Rs 310.
