KRITIPUR, Jan 8: The Tribhuvan University (TU) has received 21 times more applications than the number of seats for which it had announced vacancy earlier towards administration service.
On December 1 (2019), the TU Service Commission had announced vacancies for several 574 posts under the administration service, seeking to fill up the posts through open competition. As it said, it has received 12,233 applications for the demanded posts till the deadline that had ended on January 4.
The highest number of applications is for the posts for staff nurse as 2,680 people have applied for 77 seats. Then the most applications are for the post of chief office assistant. There are a total of 1,939 applications for 43 seats.
Similarly, 1,745 have applied for 51 office assistant posts and 1,502 have applied for section officer under which 40 seats have been allotted.
Furthermore, 773 candidates will be competing for 10 seats of nursing officer and 505 for 21 seats of chief account assistant. A total of 495 forms have been registered for 18 seats for computer technical assistant and 428 for 18 seats of account assistant.
Likewise, 336 have applied for 11 seats of chief technical assistant towards pathology followed by 325 applications are there for eight posts of chief computer technical assistant. The Service has first time provided online service for the registration of forms.
The first deadline was till midnight (12:00 moon) of January 4.
However the deadline for application by paying double charge is until coming Saturday and the number is expected to rise.
