KATHMANDU, Oct 2: A group of students vandalized the office of the rector of Tribhuvan University, Sudha Tripathi, and attempted to attack her. The group entered into her room without permission and started an argument.
When rector Tripathi said she had to attend a scheduled program, the group led by Hari Acharya verbally abused her and vandalized the office. “The students entered into the office of the rector, vandalized the chairs and tables and even attempted to attack rector."

However, the rector narrowly escaped the group, the university said in a press statement issued after the incident.
The university has asked the concerned authorities to stop anarchist activities at academic institutions. It has urged the stakeholders to resolve disputed issues through dialogue.
