DOTI, July 11: Multiple landslides triggered by torrential rain continuing since Sunday have obstructed vehicular movement along the the KI Singh Highway. 


Around 11 km road stretch from Tilalaati area of Latamadaun VDC to Kalaagadh of Mude VDC was obstructed following a number of landslips, District Police Office, Doti Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilliraj Bista said.

A dozer is being used along with help from locals and the police to remove the landslide debris. 


Hundreds of vehicles on the highway – which connects Dhangadi of Kailali to Doti and Bajura – have been stranded. 


As the downpour continues, District Police Office, Doti and Road Division Office as well as locals are expecting more landslides. RSS
