Transport links to Ramechhap completely disrupted due to floods and landslides

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Continuous rains have caused severe floods and landslides, cutting off all transport links to Ramechhap.

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Continuous rains have caused severe floods and landslides, cutting off all transport links to Ramechhap. 


Two key concrete bridges over the Sunkoshi River have been swept away, and another bridge has been damaged. Landslides have blocked multiple roads, including the BP Highway, leaving the district isolated.

According to authorities, efforts are underway to clear the roads, but with major bridges washed away and sections of highways destroyed, reconnecting Ramechhap to Kathmandu and other regions will take significant time. Walking access is also hindered as many suspension bridges have been washed away.
