KATHMANDU, May 4: The government has started arresting transport entrepreneurs from various places in the country following the direction from the Ministry of Home Affairs.


Police arrested Vice Chairma Jeewan Banjade and Genereal Secretary Saroj Sitaula, Padam Gaha Magar of the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Association. Similarly, police arrested Sitaula from Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has directed concerned authorities to arrest the office bearers of the transport committees for disrupting vehicular movements.  


Issuing a circulation to district administration offices, Home Minister Thapa directed to take stringent action against them for halting vehicular services as per the Essential Services Operation Act, 2014 BS.
