The road had collapsed due to a pipe burst from the Melamchi Drinking Water Project. Starting from Saturday evening, Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited began repairing the broken pipe, and the Road Division Office also joined in the road repair efforts.

Although vehicles can now operate on the repaired road, Supervisor Nirajan Pandey from the Road Division Office stated that immediate blacktopping of the road is not feasible.
