KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), Kathmandu has set up 13 help desk for passengers in different parts of Kathmandu Valley with the opening of bus tickets booking in view of the upcoming Dashain and Tihar festivals.

The MTPD estimates that around 2.5 million will leave the Valley for their hometowns to celebrate the Dashain and these help desks are expected to facilitate the passengers as well as to check black marketeering of bus tickets by transport operators.

In the festival's run-up, passengers often complain of high ticket prices charged by travel agents as well as the transport operators.
