Traffic on Pasang Lhamu road disrupted

NUWAKOT, Aug 29: Traffic along the Pasang Lhamu highway has been disrupted after the flooded Gerkhu stream swept away the diversion at the section of Trishuli Betrawati in the district this morning. 

Numerous vehicles are stranded after the disruption. The stream had damaged the bridge two weeks back, but a makeshift bridge was set up to resume the transport. It was again swept away, creating further problem. 

However, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhimlal Bhattarai, informed that an improvised structure would be set up again after the water level recedes in the flooded stream. 

Moreover, a landslide occurred at Tirtire of Bidur municipality 10 has damaged the road. Effort to clear the road is underway, the police added. RSS
