Traffic on Karnali Highway resumes after two days

KALIKOT, Sept 13: Traffic on the Karnali Highway that was closed due to landslides has resumed after two days.

KALIKOT, Sept 13: Traffic on the Karnali Highway that was closed due to landslides has resumed after two days.


The road was opened after two days after clearing the landslide debris. The landslides, triggered by incessant rain on Wednesday evening, occurred at Gagnekhola, Esmod and Hulm along the Kalikot section of the Karnali Highway.

Similarly, Gagnekhola, Esmod, Kale Khola, Hulm and other places in Shubha Kalika-1 were blocked by landslides.


Top Bahadur Mahtara, the in-charge of the District Traffic Police Office, said that the vehicular movement has resumed in that area after clearing the debris at Gagane Khola.
