KASKI, Sept 16: A tourist trekking in the Annapurna area has gone missing after being swept away by a river.
Hui Ju,66, from Taiwan was returning from the Annapurna base camp when the incident took place. He was swept away by the Himku river in Annapurna rural municipality, according to Ghandruk police. He reportedly slipped while crossing the river.
A search was carried out but he was not found. Heavy rainfall is hampering the rescue work, according to assistant sub-inspector Tul Bahadur Gurung.
