Top UML leaders meeting to pick KTM mayor candidate

KATHMANDU, May 2: CPN-UML has assigned party Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Senior leader Madhav Nepal and Province 3 In-charge Asta Laxmi Shakya for picking party's candidates for the posts of mayor and deputy-mayor in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

According to the party source, the three leaders are meeting in a while to finalize the candidates.

According to Chairman Oli's Personal Assistant Anish Dahal, the party chairman is now having meetings with leaders from party's Kathmandu district committee and Committee at Province 3.

Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Bidya Sundar Shakya, Keshav Sthapit and Gauri Pradhan are front-runners for winning party ticket for mayor in Kathmandu.
