KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Monsoon has its influence across the country today. The low pressure line is located around the average place in the west and to the south of the average place in the east.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), it was partly to mostly cloudy across the country in the morning. Light to moderate rain with thunder is occurring at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places of the remaining provinces.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
The country is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy this afternoon. In some areas of the hilly regions, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning, while there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at a few places in other areas across the country. The MFD has also indicated that there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
Meanwhile, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in the hill areas of the country and light to moderate rain at a few places in the remaining areas of the country. Heavy rain is also expected at one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
